Questions

Is PDF to Excel really free?

Yes. Every Sheetfold tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you do.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The work happens inside your web browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to Sheetfold or anyone else, and we can't see them.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Sheetfold works in modern browsers on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Chromebook.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no set limit. Very large files (hundreds of MB) depend on how much memory your device has.

Will my bank statement work?

Usually, yes. Sheetfold keeps each transaction on its own row, keeps money in and money out in separate columns, and joins a table that carries on over several pages into one sheet with one header row. Dates become real Excel dates and amounts become numbers, including minus signs and amounts in brackets.

What if my PDF is scanned?

Sheetfold notices and reads the text from the pictures of the pages automatically, on your device. Scans take a few seconds per page and can contain small reading mistakes, so check important numbers.

Will anything be left out?

Text that isn't part of a table, like the bank's address or a page heading, goes on a separate sheet called “Other text”, so nothing is lost. You can switch this off under “More options”.
